Trip to Cali

Shon and I drove from Spokane Washington to Stockton California. Our trip took approximately 17/18 hours, considering the many stops along the way.

It was wonderful to see friends and family. Mom and dad Begonia also came to Stockton for their Mentoring Program with the Tumales. For the first night, we (mom, dad, Eric, Jasiel, Christine, Jayrica, Jennifer and Raymond Erickson-King) went to a Chinese buffet for Jennifer's birthday. Awesome!

The next day, after Shon and I slept in the Tumale's king-size bed, we ate pandesal and rice (champorado)....yummy! For lunch we went to a Filipino restaurant and ate some sinagang. We went after that to the Stockton Corps for a tour.

We then traveled to Merced to meet the Erickson-Kings and take a tour. Merced Corps has a lot of potential. I have confidence in Erickson-King to turn that place into a Kingdom Building Center! They have an effective homeless feeding program; according to Raymond, they feed approximately 150 people every weekday. And the beautiful thing about it is that it's all run by volunteers.

The Erickson-Kings home was beautiful! They put a lot of work in major cleaning, interior repainting, and getting new furnitures for their home. Too bad that they had to do all that work when they got to their appointment. We capped the evening by going to Red Robins in Turlock.

The next day was wonderful as we (mom, dad, and Ral) went to Yosemite National Park. That place was awesome! I can't believe how huge those granite rocks were, as they hovered and casted their massive shadows over us. Praise God for His awesome creation!

Enjoy the pics:-)

July?

I can't believe it's July already. Time does fly when we are so busy with work and family. Well, I think the highlight for us in the end of June through July 2nd was that we went to Florida for vacation.

We spent two days in a hotel, went on a two night cruise to the Bahamas, went to Orlando Disney World Epcot Center, and visited Kennedy Space Center. It was one of the best vacation that we have been on as a couple.

We wanted to do this before the baby comes into the world. I know that when the baby comes, vacations will be a relic--something of the past:-)............or maybe not!

A Big Surprise!

WE ARE HAVING A BABY!

Slowly but surely, it's sinking in that we will be parents in November! The baby is now 17 weeks old, and today, we get to see the baby for our second appointment with the Doctor. It was kind of spooky the first time we saw the baby moving in Shoshannah's belly. The ultrasound equipment was amazing in how it showed the baby moving and giving us the "hang-loose" hand gesture..........it seemed:)

May the Lord continue to keep the baby healthy!

Wonderful time in Cali

Spending time with family and friends in California was awesome! The retirement ceremony was excellent (mom and dad Begonia were so delighted that everything fell in place accordingly). Their beautiful retirement home is in Corona, with relatives close by. What a place to settle down, take root, bloom, and off course............"chillax" as they enjoy their retirement! Congratulations mom and dad!!

We Are Going Back To Cali

We received the wonderful news that mom and dad Begonia are finally going to retire as Officers in the Salvation Army. They have served for 30 excellent years. Now another dooor to another exciting chapter stands awaiting with anticipation to be entered through. Going back to Cali is a two fold blessings for us; one being that all the family & friends will be there to join in the celebration, and two, we'll be hanging out with the kids:-) The retirement celebration kicks of on 3.25.07.

Have Yourself a Happy New Year!

Man, it had been crazy over the holiday season, and as a result, I've neglected our poor blogsite:-( Oh, well here it goes: Mom and Dad Begonia came to Spokane to visit us, and we had a blast. As the family knows, we ate like Kings and Queens because of mom's home-cooked meal.........yummy:-) Having them with us and sharing this special time is the best Christmas gift that we got!
